Season Fees, HSR Licensing |
Needless to say, its been a productive offseason.
In 2005 well have a title sponsor, higher purses, contingency
sponsors, at least eight new teams, and a much more professional
schedule where we will run in front of thousands more fans. The
series is solid and growing. The train may not be pulling out of
the station quite yet, but its definitely warming up.
With just 33 days to go until the season opener at Barber Motorsports
Park, its time to get down to business. Its time again
to ask teams to pay their season up-front costs.
Driver License, Car Registration, Crew Licenses
Annual driver license, car registration and crew license costs
remain the same as the last two years:
Driver License (required for competition): $ 265.00
Car Registration: 195.00
Crew License (required for hot-pit crew): 100.00
For better tax records, well be sending an actual invoice
to each team that has declared their intention to contest the series
this year. Should come to you within a week.
Driver license qualification is of course assumed for existing
series drivers. For new drivers, please provide other competition
license details (or just call me).
HSR Licensing
In order to run the four HSR events we are scheduled at, we
all need to get an HSR license. The cost is $125.00. A copy of the
license application form is attached. Their requirements are flexible,
but the easiest certification is an SCCA license. All but four of
our drivers expected for Barber already have an SCCA license, so
you have no problem. (Dont let your SCCA license lapse, because
youll need it for the Lowes Motor Speedway in June.)
For the others, a drivers school or previous road race experience
should be fine. We will be happy to provide HSR with evidence of
experience at your request. If you need any other help, simply call
me at 850-878-2322. It would be best to act on this immediately
and get it out of the way as soon as possible. Dont neglect
the medical form requirement. If you got one done last year for
SCCA licensing, the same one should work.
Entry form information coming in a very few days. For more information
on HSR, you can go to hsrrace.com.
