Rockingham To Be One Day Show
The race at Rockingham, to be run with NASA, will be a one-day event, with practice, qualifying and the race all held on Saturday, October 21. The race itself is 30 minutes in length, and I have been assured by Jim Pantas of NASA that this will be the green-to-checker length of the race, as opposed to the shortened 20 minutes at Atlanta in March.

The hotels in Rockingham (there aren’t many) are already almost full, but 15 miles up the road, there is space in Laurenburg.

Note that registration works backwards – you “purchase” the race, then a registration form comes up for car and driver details. Note that garage space is extra ($25.00).

The class to register for is Super Unlimited.

Rockingham Tires
Hoosier will not be at Rockingham, so if you need tires, you should order them from Appalachian Tire before this coming Thursday, October 12. Sassco will be at Rockingham mounting tires, but at VIR last year, they for some reason claimed difficulty mounting tires on stock car rims and said they couldn’t guarantee they wouldn’t tear the bead. Probably a good idea to bring your tires already mounted.

Register Now For The American Road Race of Champions at Road Atlanta
Road Atlanta November 10-11 is of course an SCCA race. But because it’s a national championship race, their divisional permanent car number system doesn’t apply. That means that all car numbers are up for grabs, and the earlier you enter, the better the odds of getting the number you want. So in order to get the car number you want, you should enter that race now.

To enter go to arrc-online.com. There is a separate LMSC class created by the SCCA for this event.
