Registering for VIR

I believe I’ve called everyone I expect at VIR regarding registration, but to repeat, they are expecting somewhere around 600 cars for this race. There are no permanent numbers, as this is a two-division race, so numbers are purely on a first-come basis. Register as soon as possible at ncrscca.com. Register for the Saturday race. We race Saturday.

If you want extra practice on Saturday, register for the Sunday race too. Your $185.00 gets you 20 more minutes on Saturday.

Attached are copies of the weekend schedule and supplementary regulations, as well as a test day information sheet (Thursday, May 11). The test day is highly recommended, as practice and qualifying time is very scarce.

As with other SCCA races, you pay $185.00 to the SCCA, and $365.00 to SCRRC (difference between $550.00 total SCRRC entry and SCCA entry).

VIR Tires

Be sure to call Appalachian to reserve tires. They service this race, but they need to know your needs in advance so they can bring the tires.

If you missed Road Atlanta, specified tire this year is the same, Hoosier 3035. Be sure and tell Rodney what series you are ordering the tires for.

Hotel Rooms for VIR

The best hotels in Danville for combination of rate and quality seem to be the Marriott Courtyard and Hampton Inn. The Courtyard has just gone up on their rate to $90.00, but the Hampton Inn is still at $75.00 and currently has rooms.
