Driver License, Car Registration, Crew Licenses
It’s time to do the annual season driver license and car registration. 2008 annual driver license and car registration costs remain the same as the last five years.

A copy of the license form is attached. If you have previously completed one and the information is still the same, it’s not necessary to send a new one. If you haven’t completed one previously, please send with your check to us at:

Driver license qualification is of course assumed for existing series drivers. For new drivers, please provide other competition license details (or just call me).
VIR Registration
As before, this is a two-race SCCA weekend, with a Friday test day. As before, we will qualify and race on Saturday, using the test day as practice (roughly two hours of track time), leaving Sunday to return home.
Go to www.ncrscca.com to register. As with the previous two years, register for the Saturday only race in SPO class. The race entry fee to our series is unchanged from the last five years, $550 minus the SCCA entry fee, which in this case is $200, so the entry fee to our series is $350.00.
The test day registration is done directly with VIR. Information is on the ncrscca Web site.

Purse for this race will be $2,000 plus contingencies.

Tires
Part of the ability to maintain the purse depends on getting tires from Appalachian. The cost is supposed to be the same as from other dealers, but the series gets a $100 rebate from Appalachian on each set of tires we buy. Please order your tires from them. They will be at this race. Be sure and call them at least a week before the race weekend to be sure they bring enough tires for you.
Specified tire this year is the same, Hoosier 3035. Be sure and tell Rodney what series you are ordering the tires for.
